SARS-CoV-2 has forced victims of IPV to socially isolate at home with their abusive partner. Therefore, it is important to consider the long-term impacts of social isolation due to COVID-19 on intimate partner violence faced by married women living in rural UP, India. Such as, gynecological complications due to a rise in coercive and non-consensual sexual practices. Additionally, sustained long-term IPV can generate mental health disorders amongst victims. It is recommended that the Indian Ministry of Health generate policy change to help victims of IPV.
