Behavioural Correlates of Lying

Abstract

People are complex. We may think that by looking into someone's eyes and observing their behaviour we get a sense of who this person is, and whether or not they are lying to us. But behaviour is less indicative of lying than many people—including the general public and professional lie-detectors—may believe.
