Paper Margins
The Paper Margins anthology was created in 2021 by medical students at Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine and contributed to by authors and artists who are medical students and residents across Canada.

Catalyst: Facets of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences
Catalyst is an open-access peer-reviewed journal hosted by the Department of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences and managed by students in the Biochemistry Graduate Program and Medical Sciences Graduate Program. The journal has two annual issues (January and June) that reports on cutting-edge advances in the life sciences at McMaster University and showcases research from undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows.
We publish the following categories of articles:
- Papers - Original Research: studies of the highest quality that report on novel findings. We also accept new and innovative protocol papers in this category.
- Papers - Review Articles: we accept reviews covering mechanisms of disease as well as reviews focusing solely on molecular/cellular mechanisms with no disease focus.
- Perspectives: concise, targeted opinion pieces that provide commentary on an important and current issue in the life sciences or associated disciplines.
- Multimedia: we welcome a variety of multimedia formats and submissions. Please send us a presubmission inquiry prior to making your submission.

McMaster Brain Research Society
We are a group of students studying at McMaster University who are passionate about brain research: neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and everything in between.
Our goal is to build a welcoming community for undergraduate students at McMaster University who are interested in collaborative learning regarding neuroscience research. We aim to inspire and nurture undergraduate neuroscience interest and offer opportunities to explore that interest through networking events and discussions. Additionally, we strive to support neuroscience-related research through active fundraising.

Esurio: Journal of Hunger and Poverty
Esurio is a student refereed academic journal published by the Ontario Association of Food Banks (www.oafb.ca) in collaboration with Meal Exchange (www.mealexchange.com). Esurio publishes articles on issues of hunger, poverty and food security in Ontario through a youth lens. The journal features articles written and reviewed by graduate and undergraduate students and is published twice annually. -

Aletheia was founded in 2020 by four Arts & Science students who wanted to highlight the amazing work produced in the program and provide Arts & Science students with valuable experience as either Peer Reviewers or published Authors.

The iScientist
WELCOME.
The iScientist is McMaster University's undergraduate interdisciplinary research journal. We function as a public repository of work done by students in the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences (SIS) at McMaster University, showcasing their accomplishments and providing a means to share their work and research with the public. The iScientist is published on an annual basis by a student-led team of volunteers. All submissions are peer-reviewed.

Venture is an undergraduate journal of geography published by students in the School of Earth, Environment and Society. The Meducator
The Meducator is McMaster University’s undergraduate Health Sciences Journal. It is a unique student publication in that it publishes pieces that critically address current issues with a high degree of scientific rigor, but are also accessible to a broad audience. We publish articles from a wide range of fields within the Health Sciences discipline. This includes, but is not limited to:

Through biannual magazine publications, a regularly updated blog, and a Facebook and Twitter page, we aim to provide an opportunity for undergraduate students to publish their work, perspectives, and insight regarding contemporary topics in the Health Sciences and share this information with their peers. Our protocol also strives to maintain a high standard of academic integrity by having each article edited by a postgraduate in the relevant field, as well as by The Meducator student editorial board.

NEXUS: The Canadian Student Journal of Anthropology

Nexus is a graduate student-run publication from the Department of Anthropology, McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. For nearly thirty years Nexus has provided a forum for quality four-field student work in anthropology from Canadian and international colleges and universities. Nexus attempts to present a cross section of current student work from any area of anthropology, and to advance scholarship through anonymous peer review. We believe that each sub-field interacts and informs the others and actively encourage submissions from any area of the discipline of anthropology. Submissions consist of original ongoing research and/or reviews of current anthropological issues. Critical reviews of current publications of anthropological interest are also included. As an online journal, Nexus is not constrained to physical printing limitations and encourages the use of technology and multi-media projects that may not be suited for traditional print materials. GIS, 3D modeling and audio/video media files are welcomed.

Sciential - McMaster Undergraduate Science Journal
Sciential, affiliated with the School of Interdisciplinary Science (SIS) at McMaster University, aims at integrating various aspects of science into one platform and promoting effective science communication. The Editorial Board is formed by all McMaster Univeristy students and all undergraduate students are able to publish their work, granted it matches the scope of the journal. This is an exceptional opportunity for students to build and market their scientific knowledge, transferable skills, and undergo the peer review process.

Spectrum
Spectrum aims to shine a spotlight on short stories, poetry, essays, and think pieces that push boundaries or give viewpoints from communities that are less likely to find their words in print. The editors are dedicated to finding "own voices" content to publish and highlight in an effort to draw attention to the works of a wide range of students. Spectrum is a journal based in showcasing the views of everyone. Spectrum welcomes submissions from all students, but focuses specifically on ideas and interests aligned with those of McMaster's English and Cultural Studies Department. We maintain the right to decline any and all pieces that contain hate speech of any kind.

Perceptia
Welcome to Perceptia, a new undergraduate philosophy journal hosted by the McMaster University Philosopher’s Society. Feel free to familiarize yourself with the journal’s policies and submission requirements through the links on the left.
The Society aspires to publish Perceptia online every year, with each volume including between three to ten articles. Articles are now being accepted for publication in the 2011 issue. The deadline for submission is February 15, 2011. The journal's title is based on the Romanian word for "perception".
