Global Health: Annual Review - Issue 9 (Special Issue)
    Vol. 1 No. 9 (2024)

    Dear Readers,

Welcome to this special issue of the Global Health: Annual Review (GHAR).

In this special issue, we are honoured to collaborate with the 2023 Canadian Youth Delegate, Toby Le. Toby carried out roundtable discussions with youth across Canada, covering 16 critical topics, such as pandemic preparedness, mental health, and equity in health systems. These discussions have provided invaluable insights into the perspectives and experiences of Canadian youth on a wide range of global health issues. After this hard work, our team has brought these insights to you on the following pages.

On behalf of the Issue 9 authors, contributors, reviewers, and the 2024 GHAR editorial team, we would like to express our gratitude to you, the readers. Your interest and engagement with the featured works give them even deeper meaning beyond these pages. We hope that this issue ignites your curiosity and inspires you to embark on your own journey in global health.

    Sincerely,

GHAR Editorial Team and the Canadian Youth Delegate (CYD)

  • Global Health: Annual Review Issue 8
    Vol. 1 No. 8 (2023)

Welcome to Issue 8 of the Global Health Annual Review (GHAR), a platform for cutting-edge research and insights in the field of global health. This year GHAR focused on 6 key areas: Indigenous Health & Colonialism, Women’s Health, Mental Health, Health Equity, COVID-19, and Infectious Disease. We believe that research is not a solitary pursuit, but a collective progress that thrives on the exchange of ideas in the international community. Thus, we have intentionally selected works that highlight the intersectionality and interplay of a variety of disciplines.

We proudly present a total of 28 pieces from our pool of contributors. We recognize the diverse expression of research and story-telling in the world of global health, which is why we have curated a range of research articles, reflective narratives, art-based submissions, and opinion pieces for your enjoyment and learning. In Issue 8, you will encounter a collection of works meticulously curated to provide thought-provoking insights into the world of global health.

    Happy reading!

    Sincerely,

    GHAR 2023 Editorial Board
