Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • A consent form, signed by your Principal Investiagtor/Instructor, have been provided alongside the manuscript.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed (https://journals.sfu.ca/jmde/index.php/jmde_1/blind_review_guidelines).

Author Guidelines

Prior to submitting a document, please read the Psynapse Submissions Guidelines (2021) for a complete set of rules and procedures.
 
Please DOWNLOAD the PI/Instructor’s consent form, then submit the COMPLETED form alongside your manuscript during the submission process. Failure to do so will result in the dismissal of your entry.

The following are general steps for submitting entries to the website: 

  1. Register/login to the Psynapse OJS website. 
  2. Hover on your username at the top-right of the webpage, and select "View Profile".
  3. While in the Submissions page, select "New Submission".
  4. In "2. Upload Submission", please remember to upload two files: (A) your actual submission, labelled as Article Text, and (B) the consent form signed by your professor, labelled a Supplementary/Consent Form.
  5. Once complete, an email notification will be sent to confirm the submission. Your upload should appear in the Submissions tab, with a summary of the editorial progress. Interactions with the editorial team will also be done through this page.
